Brian graduated from Loyola University in Chicago with a Masters in Social Work and is currently an LCSW in the state of Florida. Brian began his work with addiction at an inpatient facility in Chicago and worked as a therapist with people dealing with mental health and substance abuse issues. Brian moved to Florida in 2006 and worked at two large substance abuse facilities providing mental health and substance abuse assessments as well as individual, group, and family therapy. Brian has worked with many families as well as individuals dealing substance abuse issues. Brian is passionate about working with people suffering with addiction, compulsive behaviors, and their families. Brian himself has 9 years of abstinence from alcohol and drugs and has extensive connections with the medical, mental health, and substance abuse community in South Florida.
Brian has helped addicts identify areas which have presented or may present roadblocks to continued abstinence. Helps facilitate the process necessary to remain free from drugs and alcohol. He supports the client through the challenges arising in everyday life. For some, this is done through several one-on-one sessions each week. Some prefer telephone contact. Work with clients at any stage of recovery in the process of transitioning from sober living/treatment to their own home, or recently relapsed.
